During this time of year, traditionally parishioners would “beat the bounds” of the parish. This involved traversing the parish boundary and praying for the fruitfulness of fields, business and communities. St Stephen has one of the biggest parish boundaries in all of England and so rather that walking it we have decided to go by bicycle (traditional or electric). People can join for the whole loop or for just a section and we will be stopping for lunch half way.
